I was fascinated with art at a very early age. My first recollection is from about age 5 when I sat next to my father in church and watched him sketch navy destroyers during the sermon. In my life, I've had many careers. From truck driver to industrial chemical purchasing agent to biologist to lawyer. Between each, I always found my way briefly back to art.
Ultimately, I have chosen to stay with art and have no plans to do anything else from here on out. I've lived long enough to see many things. A lot of them not so nice. Almost nothing gets into a courtroom unless it's reached a highly dysfunctional state. Art gives us the chance to focus on what's beautiful in the world and in life. As it turns out, there is a great deal of beauty if we take the time to look for it. I will keep looking for it and I will keep painting it. My hope is that you will enjoy it.
