• Introduction to pastel materials, tools, substrates, and sealers
• Procedural process—from planning to implementation, beginning to end
• Basic color theory
• Demonstration by instructor of a landscape painting using pastels
• Participants will use a provided reference landscape photo to begin individual paintings
